47: Week 5

From day one, I knew it would take not just courage, but health, strength, rest, fight, humor, community, awareness, and so many more things to stay engaged without falling under. Call it intuition or luck—a planned getaway prior to the election that would give us a break from snow and cold and land us in Puerto Rico, a land of beauty that pulses with local flavors and Spanish, making us feel like we are far away from this messed up country even though we are technically still here.
